Anne Represents in Canada!

Savage Girl, Anne Loay at her first show!! Anne rocked the stage and placed first in her class at the UFE show in Canada!!

Wow!  I can’t believe it’s over already; my first competition experience was nothing less than absolutely amazing.  I am ecstatic for the next show and so proud to be a Savage Girl!!!  I’ve learned so much the last few months; I can’t thank Rachel and Cathy, family and friends enough for all their help and support.

Along the way there were growing pains and anxiety of stepping on that stage for the very first time.  I had a lot of bad luck during this entire process as well.  I got sick twice, suffered through insomnia, the husband and I had completely opposite schedules, fulltime work decided to get super busy and out of the blue a client called and requested for training sessions a few times a week (after working overtime already and I still had to workout…sigh….).  I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason; after going through all of this, I now feel like I handle anything that comes my way. I got through it and still alive and kicking!  An important lesson learned was to keep your eye on the prize.  I kept a positive attitude, persevered and pushed aside the barriers that were in my way.

Another intersting thing I learned was all the different methods coaches were putting their athletes through.  I was one of the few indivudals who were still eating carbs and fruit in moderation before the show and drinking water.  People looked at me like I was an alien when I proudly said, “Yes I am still drink half a gallon 2 days before the show and no I am not using fat burners or diuretics”.  I promised my husband if I was unable to do this naturally it would not do it at all right from the beginning.  This program has exceeded all my expectations and helped me lose my last 10 lbs.  I am not back at my originial weight before I got married.  I went from 115 lbs to 104 lbs; my body fat has decreased from 20% to 13% all accomplished the healthy way.

Thanks again to my coaches for guiding me through this competition world that was so foreign to me.  I’m so excited for my next show and to see what else comes along my way!!
