Paula Harvey - CSF Choreographer and Strength Coordinator

Paula has been involved in the dance industry for over 25 years. Paula and Cathy met as they were both teaching hip-hop /funk classes in the Boston area. She was a champion dancer who has danced at the famed Apollo Theatre in Harlem. In the late 1990's, Cathy advised Paula to compete in various fitness events in New England, which brought along instant fame and success due to Paula's incredible routines. Paula was the first woman to ever receive a standing ovation for her routine at the NPC New England Championships.

In addition to being Asst. Choreographer, Paula heads up the Yoga department for Cathy Savage Fitness. She is a certified yoga instructor through the world famous Baron Baptise Power Vinyasa Yoga Institute in Boston since 2003. Paula is affectionately known by the Savage Girls as "Little P", but her talent is that of a giant.

Jodi Jones, CSCS - CSF Nutrition and Training Manager

Jodi Jones holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University with a concentration in Biology, 1993. She is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine and a certified Nutrition Manager from Lifestyle Management. In addition to her other certifications, Jodi is an ACE, AFAA and CSF/SCC certified trainer and has been involved in the fitness industry for 15 years. As a former competitor, Jodi has also conducted extensive research in nutrition, anatomy and physiology and biomechanics and their relationship to competitive fitness.

Alicia Marie - CSF Personal Trainer and Posing Specialist

Alicia Marie*(formerly known as Alicia Denson) is a television and media personality, fitness writer, personal trainer, fitness champion and model currently living in New York City. Cathy and Alicia’s collaboration began when she walked into Camp Savage as an aspiring competitor several years ago before she was a household name! Cathy prepared her for her first show (the Fitness South Beach Pageant) where she walked away with victory! The rest is history.

Alicia Marie has been able to develop her love of performance and her knowledge and experience in the health and fitness industry into national recognition as a fitness athlete, magazine columnist and expert. As the first ever Ms. Muscle & Fitness (contracted), Alicia is now an official spokesperson, and has appeared on the pages of Muscle & Fitness magazine, HERS, Oxygen, Flex magazine, Ironman, Musclemag, Planet Muscle, Fitness, SELF, O Magazine, Glamour, Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness and most recently on the covers of Fitness RX for women and Oxygen magazine. Adding to her list of accolades, as a “perfect parts” model, Alicia Marie was the body of Jergens Firming Body Lotion, Curel Body national advertisements and previously the “abdominals” of the Eggbeaters “0% Fat” national campaign.

Alicia Marie graduated Cum Laude and with Honors and Distinction from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Neuroscience. She is currently available for phone consultations, as well as personal training and posing sessions in New York City.

Dawn Butterfield - Savage Girl Co-Captain, CSF Stage Presentation Coordinator and CSF certified coach

As Captain of the Savage Girls team, Dawn Butterfield is a veteran competitor with over a decade of experience in multiple federations. She is truly an icon in the sport. Her wins date back to 1996 but her most recent accomplishments are two time NPC New England champion, runner up in the 2004 Fitness Canada National Championships, three time Fitness Atlantic Champion, 2005 Fitness Midwest Champion viewed on MTV, 2005 Fitness New York Champion, 7th place at the Prestigious 2005 Fitness Universe & Fitness America Pageants and the first ever National Bikini America Classic Champion. Dawn's infamous “tinkerbell” and “mighty mouse” routines continue to air on ESPN. As a mother of a 13 year old son, Dawn is an incredible role model for women of all ages and backgrounds. She is a CSF/SP certified assistant coach.

Toneka Pires - CSF Presentation and Strength Assistant

Fitness athlete and model Toneka Pires holds a degree from Boston University. She is a CSF/SP certified coach and she has been active on the competition circuit for over five years. Toneka currently assists with stage presentation and strength move instructional private sessions in addition to assisting Cathy with camps and seminars. As a Bikini New York, Maryland and Atlantic Champion as well as national finalist, Toneka is able to educate and instruct aspiring athletes to the path of success. Toneka is currently known as one of the strongest natural athletes competing in fitness with her signature plyometric strength. She has been featured in many fitness magazines including Oxygen magazine.

Amy Nigrelli - CSF Executive Assistant/Posing Coach

Amy Nigrelli is a national level fitness, model and bikini competitor and is currently Cathy's executive assistant. Amy handles all aspects of CSF locally, nationally as well as internationally. In addition to this role, Amy is an outstanding posing coach for all federations and currently is available for private and group appointments.

Lisa Verrochi, NSCA, CSCS, CPT - CSF Trainer and Choreographer

Lisa Verrochi is a lifelong resident of Norwood. She holds a BA and Master’s degree from Boston University and Boston State. She holds numerous certifications in the health and fitness industry. As a Patriots cheerleader for many years, Lisa has performed in front of thousands of spectators and she also has extensive experience in musical theatre. Lisa is well-known throughout the Bay State area as an elite personal trainer as well as Pilates instructor. She is also a Norwood soccer coach and an avid supporter of Norwood High School athletics. She has been a presenter for Reebok and performed with Cathy on the Ryka Team, which represented the ROSE (Regaining One’s Self Esteem) Foundation to encourage women of all walks of life to believe in themselves.

Jen O'Neil - Assistant Choreographer

In high school, Jen was captain of the cheer leading squad, on the gymnastics team and still found time to take anywhere from 6 to 10 dance classes a week. Jen loves the dedication and the passion of dance and enjoys passing it on to her students. Currently, she is a member of "The Savage Performance Team" in Norwood, MA. She has danced at a number of different events including the Boston Celtics games, Fitness Expos and Competitions. In 2005, she was runner up in a national level fitness competition.

While in college, she continued to attend dance class, but was also given the opportunity to teach class and a new love was found (which was ten years ago!). She has taught ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop to children and adults from 2 years of age to 65! Each year she challenges herself to find innovative combinations, new ways of stretching and infuse her love of dance in my students. She states, "Thankfully, I have been lucky enough to have highly motivated and driven students, which makes my job one of the most pleasurable ones I can imagine!" Jen is leading our dance school into a unique and passionate direction where students not only learn the art of dance but also the characteristics of confidence, poise and empowerment. "Dancing with the feet is one thing, but to dance from the heart is another."

Wendi West - Savage Girl Co-Captain, CSF Florida Coordinator/Choreographer -Savage Sunshine State, FL

Athletes are in good hands with Fitness Universe, National Fitness Canada Champ and Savage girl co-captain Wendi West. With Cathy and Paula’s guidance, Wendi’s winning routines have made her a household name in the fitness world and a role model for many aspiring athletes. Wendi’s rise to fitness fame started in 1997 but her love of athletics has been a lifelong passion. She is a graduate of Springfield College with a BS degree in Chemistry/Biology and she graduated Cum Laude with the honor of Athlete of the year for her track and field talent. Choreographing routines for Wendi has been one of the highlights of my career as a coach”, says Cathy of her friend. Wendi is available in Florida for choreography sessions. She is one of the most beloved fitness athletes on the scene today.

Celia Thompson - CSF South Carolina Coordinator - Savage South, SC

Celia Thompson is nationally recognized as an amazing cheer choreographer and coach and she has joined forces with Cathy Savage Fitness and leads the Savage South team as well as the Savage South Junior division. Celia is a CSF certified coach and has been working with Cathy side by side, to plan camps as well as serve as an assistant choreographer. Cathy and Paula choreographed the infamous “Lion King” routine which has won many accolades in the fitness world and Celia continues to impress the national federations with her spiritual and jam packed routines. As the runner up of the Mrs. South Carolina pageant, Celia also offers an extensive background in stage preparation as well. Celia also conducts official Savage Sunday sessions each week in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
